如果说《江湖孽缘》是《笑傲神雕》的同人，那么《江湖梦缘》就是《江湖孽缘》的同人（不排除《江湖孽缘》的作者推倒重写的可能）。从《江湖梦缘》的楔子开始，修仙玄幻的设定便屡屡出现，故《江湖梦缘》不像传统武侠小说，更像“仙侠”小说。本章作者小试肉戏牛刀，卓玄青开启意淫模式，想入非非。除去肉戏，本章中对融魂派、阵道、咒术的描写为后文埋下了伏笔。结合之前出现的魔教、深渊仙宫，希望作者早日揭开武林邪道的神秘面纱。
