香港金牌剪辑师麦子善，近年来转行当导演，状态欠佳。他拍了诸如《瘦身》《追影》《醒狮》等溃败烂片，毫无底线。但大家别忘记《行规》《知法犯法》《一个烂赌的传说》《黑道风云》《黑白森林》等诚恳佳作，这些片纵然投资甚低，影响力不够，却都让人眼前一亮。如今的《绝色武器》，麦子善导演没有任何突破性想法，却想依仗拳脚和兵器，从头打到尾，拍一个像样子的俗套片。
